Going through Poland you cannot miss the gothic castle of Nidzica located on the picturesque hill which from the very beginning of its existence was using the natural defensive qualities of such beautiful but from the other side muddy valley of the Nida River. As well as the town Nidzica is called “the gate to Warmia and Mazury”

Coming closer to the mentioned hill the very curious building will appear to your eyes – The Old castle Brewery and here the story begins…

Our cultural heritage of brewing industry and production of mead has been connected with that place since the dawn of the history of Polish country.

In the Middle Ages there was a malt and brewery in the town and they brought the city and its inhabitants very large benefits. The knights brewed their beer here in the castle brewery, and the beer was very well known and far across widespread thanks to the city location on an important trade route which was connecting Warsaw, Elblag and Królewiec (Königsberg).
